Our therapists take courses to keep them up to date with the latest research and speech and language techniques. Our school based speech-language pathologists work individually with children in acoustically designed rooms providing the highest quality therapy.

Physical Therapy

Our experienced and highly qualified physical therapists can offer you services at home, at our center, or at your child’s daycare center. Our therapists specialize in diagnosis, treatment and management for children of all ages. Why Physical Therapy?

Our physical therapists are trained to help children who are experiencing delays in gross motor skills, vestibular (balance and coordination), strength and endurance as well as cognitive and sensory processing/integration. Physical therapy may include: Strength training, stretching exercises to improve muscle flexibility, balance and coordination activities to decrease falls and injuries, or adaptive play activities to allow a child to participate in school or recreational activities.

Occupational Therapy

Our licensed pediatric occupational therapists are highly trained and experienced and are available to help your child in her daycare, our center or at your home. Our therapists work closely with your child to help her obtain age appropriate skills. At Strivright our occupational therapists guide children through play and fun activities to become more successful in skills that they might be struggling with. Our state-of-the-art sensory gym is furnished with modern new equipment.

Strivright’s occupational therapists are knowledgeable in helping children who are experiencing delays in self-care skills (feeding, bathing dressing), fine motor skills (hand skills and dexterity), play skills, handwriting, activities in daily living, and sensory integration (tolerating stimuli from the environment).

Special Education SEIT

Our Special Education Itinerant Teachers are highly trained to work with preschool aged children. Our SEIT instructors use tailor made programs and strategies for each child depending on areas of weakness.   Our SEIT instructors familiarize themselves with the child’s goals, collaborate with the classroom teacher and all team members and encourage parent participation in helping meet the child’s goals.

Strivright’s state of the art audiology center is furnished with the latest technology and equipment. Our audiologists are trained in dispensing hearing aids, FM systems, assistive listening devises and mapping cochlear implants.

If you are concerned about your hearing or your child’s hearing or if your child failed the newborn screening in the hospital, Strivright audiologists are here to help you.

Strivright audiologists also specialize in auditory processing evaluations and treatment plans.

Counseling/Play Therapy

Our school psychologist and social workers are licensed and trained in helping children of all ages. Our school psychologist and social workers are available to help counsel the child and guide the other family members in coming up with a plan to help ensure success.

If your child is experiencing coping difficulties, social difficulties, anxiety, behavior difficulties, worrisome behaviors, or social emotional issues, please contact us.


Our licensed teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will travel to your child’s school to provide HES services for children ages 3-21. Our HES Providers specialize in listening and spoken language therapy.  Our providers advocate for your child’s needs in his/her school. The HES provider will inform and educate your child’s teacher about her hearing loss, how to care for your child’s hearing aids, cochlear implants, and FM assistive technology, as well as how to troubleshoot the equipment in case it malfunctions during school hours. Our HES providers communicate often with the teacher and family members. HES teachers will work on your child’s auditory skills, concepts, language development, academics skills, and self-advocacy skills.

Why HES?

If your child is deaf or hard of hearing and is between the ages of 3-21 he/she may be entitled to receive HES services.
(Licensed teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) provide assistance in auditory learning, speech-reading, receptive and expressive language development, and academic support using specialized techniques. Close contact with general education teachers as well as parents is maintained to support instruction in the schools.)

Strivright is approved as a provider of EI services and under contract with NYS to deliver EI services If a child is found eligible for the EI, all needed EI services are identified in collaboration with the parent and must be authorized by the municipality. The municipality will arrange for service providers, considering the individual needs of the child and family, to deliver services authorized by the municipality. When early intervention services are delivered in child care settings or community locations that require a fee, the parent is responsible for paying any associated costs with such access to child care or community locations.
